Personal Data Protection Law

This privacy notice has been prepared by DataLonga Bilişim Anonim Şirketi (Data Science School) as the "Data Controller" within the framework of Article 10 of the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (" the Law ") and the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles to be Followed in Fulfilling the Obligation to Inform.

The purpose of this text is to inform you about the processing of your personal data (such as your name, telephone number, photograph, resume, email address, trainings received, workplace, etc., any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person ) that you have shared or that has been collected by the Data Science School during your application process or while using the services offered by the Data Science School, and about your rights regarding this data.

1. PURPOSES OF PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA

Your personal data is used for the following purposes:

  • To verify the identity information of those who register through the website/mobile applications.
  • To record the address and other necessary information for contact purposes.
  • To get in touch and provide the necessary information,
  • To organize all records and documents that will serve as the basis for processing, whether in electronic (internet/mobile, etc.) or paper format.
  • To provide information to public officials upon request and as required by law on matters relating to public security.
  • To increase the satisfaction and appreciation of Data Science School students or prospective students, and to organize trainings in electronic and/or physical environments,
  • Through our partner institutions, solution partners, and third-party internet platforms and digital programs of which we are members, we can offer suggestions to Data Science School followers and provide information about our services.
  • To be able to evaluate the complaints and suggestions of its users,
  • To fulfill our legal obligations and exercise our rights under current legislation,
  • To prevent fraud and other illegal activities.

2. METHODS OF COLLECTING PERSONAL DATA AND LEGAL GROUNDS

Personal data is collected for the purposes stated above, based on legal grounds to enable Data Science School to fully and accurately fulfill its responsibilities arising from contracts and laws. Personal data collected for these legal reasons may also be processed and transferred by Data Science School in accordance with the fundamental principles stipulated by law, within the scope of the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law, and for the purposes stated in this document.

The Data Science School will collect personal data only for specific, explicit, and lawful purposes, may retain it for the periods required by the purposes of processing personal data as explained in the relevant section above, will not process personal data in a manner incompatible with the purposes for which it was collected as stated in the Law and here, and will delete, destroy, or anonymize the data ex officio or upon the request of the data subject, except in cases where there is a legal obligation to retain it, when the reasons requiring its processing cease to exist.

3. TO WHOM AND FOR WHAT PURPOSE PERSONAL DATA MAY BE TRANSFERRED

Personal data may be transferred to internal and external auditors and contracted independent auditing firms, legal advisors, and third parties from whom the Data Science School receives or plans to receive consultancy, support, or services for the purposes of legal compliance processes, legal, financial, tax, etc. audits; to third parties from whom the Data Science School receives or plans to receive consultancy, support, or services in other matters (including cloud computing service providers that may have servers in various countries); to legally authorized institutions and organizations; and to private individuals, within the framework of the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 8 and 9 of the Law; may be processed domestically or internationally; may be used in advertising/marketing activities to increase the awareness and benefits of the Data Science School; may be used in the preparation of information and documents that will serve as the basis for business and transactions carried out on paper or electronically; and may also be shared by the Data Science School through other channels by publishing it on the internet.

4. RIGHTS REGARDING PERSONAL DATA

In accordance with Article 11 of the Law, personal data owners can apply to Data Science School at info@veribilimiokulu.com regarding the following information about themselves:

  1. To find out whether your personal data is being processed,
  2. The right to request information regarding the processing of personal data.
  3. To learn the purpose for which your personal data is processed and whether it is being used appropriately for that purpose,
  4. Knowing the third parties to whom your Personal Data is transferred, whether domestically or internationally.
  5. The right to request the correction of personal data if it has been processed incompletely or inaccurately.
  6. Requesting the deletion/destruction of personal data within the framework of the conditions stipulated in Article 7 of the Law,
  7. Requesting that the actions taken pursuant to clauses (d) and (e) be notified to third parties to whom personal data has been transferred.
  8. The right to object to an outcome that is detrimental to them resulting from the analysis of processed data exclusively through automated systems.
  9. Individuals have the right to claim compensation if they suffer damages as a result of the unlawful processing of their personal data.

EXPLICIT CONSENT TEXT REGARDING THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

I have read and understood the entire explanatory text regarding the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data, provided by our company DATALONGA BİLİŞİM A.Ş. (“Data Science School”), and I have been informed that Data Science School will process my personal data within the scope of the purposes stated above.

In this context;

My personal data , including my name, phone number, photograph, resume, email address, education, and workplace, is processed by DataLonga Bilişim Anonim Şirketi in accordance with the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data.

Data Science School consents to the recording of my personal data for use in advertising/marketing activities to increase its awareness and usefulness , to use it in organizing information and documents that will serve as a basis for paper-based or electronic transactions, to publish it on the internet, to use it in announcements on social media platforms such as LinkedIn and Instagram, to share my photographs and videos on social media and in print publications, and to process my educational, communication, photographs and videos for the promotion and marketing of products and services, and to publish them as advertising/marketing elements.

I hereby give my explicit consent, fully informed and knowledgeable, for the processing of my personal data through all available channels for the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice, and for its sharing with the individuals specified in this Notice , its publication on the internet, and its transfer abroad , in cases where legal or service-related and/or business relationship necessities require.

Therefore, by confirming this explicit consent text by clicking the button in the relevant field in the Google Forms system, we process the personal data you provide to our Company as a result of your notification, in accordance with the provisions of the Law, and we store it for as long as the legal reasons requiring its processing continue, unless otherwise stipulated in the Law.
